Food Safety and Quality Professional
Lynn Jones is a qualified Food Safety and Quality Assurance Professional. With 11 years of experience in research as a Microbiologist, she worked on developing a platform to identify novel therapeutics against C. difficile, characterizing B-Lactamases, and identifying CTX-M type ESBLs in Multidrug-Resistant Bovine commensal E. coli isolates, and identifying membrane associated mechanisms for the antifungal activity of Occidiofungin against Candida albicans. She also has four years of collegiate teaching experience in Food Chemistry Lab, Food Principles and Applications, Human Nutrition, Food Service Systems Management and Food Science.
Lynn graduated from The University of California, Davis with a B.S. in Nutritional Biochemistry and receiving both a Departmental Honors Award and an Outstanding Senior Recognition Award. She completed her post-baccalaureate studies in Food Science Technology and pursued doctoral studies in in Food Science Technology and Biology at Texas A&M. Lynn has worked in Food Safety and Quality Assurance for Coca-Cola Beverages, Del Monte Fresh Produce, Mile Hi Bakery and Blue Moose of Boulder.
Lynn is a very valuable member of Soterian and FSMA International. She works in the Castle Rock office with Nancy and the Team and travels nationally to assist clients in all aspects of food safety and quality projects. Lynn is a PCQI, HACCP Certified, SQF Practitioner, and continuously attends training to keep her knowledge in the food industry fresh.
